Alvin

Managing Director, Greater China

Alvin Wang

  • Alvin Wang is a Managing Director at FocalPoint Partners. Alvin has developed extensive transaction and valuation experience across a wide spectrum of industries including TMT, retail, healthcare, industrial and renewable energy. In addition, Alvin is actively involved in deal sourcing and origination through his well-  established network with business communities, both within China and abroad through international PE and VCs.
  • Alvin previously worked in Duff and Phelps’ Shanghai office, providing services in connection with cross border transactions, joint ventures and fairness opinions. Prior to that, he worked in Houlihan Lokey’s Hong Kong office, covering the Greater China and Southeast Asia region. Prior to that, Alvin worked in  Lehman Brothers’ corporate finance team based in New York City, covering TMT sector.
  • Alvin has a Master of Science in Finance from Boston College, a Master of Art in Economics from Northeastern University and is also a PHD candidate at Northeastern University.
  • Alvin is a Chartered Financial Valuation Analyst from the National Association of Credited Valuation Analyst.

  • Will Garner is a strategic partner at Latitude World and serves as a U.S. Immigration Attorney. Latitude is one of the premier immigration firms for high net worth individuals seeking second residency and citizenship and is headquartered in New Jersey. Will is also an advisor to Greenwing Ventures, a boutique Canadian merchant bank focused on disruptive companies in the agriculture, energy and mobility sectors.
  • Will Garner began his career at Grant’s Financial Publishing, Inc. in New York. He subsequently worked at David W. Tice and Associates, an investment research and money management firm in Dallas, Texas.
  • Will Garner received his Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of Georgia, graduating magna cum laude. He received his Juris Doctorate from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Will received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida, graduating magna cum laude. He also received a Certificate in Brewing Arts from the University of South Florida.

  • Currently Senior Vice President of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), responsible for issuer marketing;
  • Coordinate HKEx's issuer market development strategy, deeply connect with potential listed companies and existing customers;
  • Speak for HKEx globally, frequently participate in international financial conferences and give speeches, and his views have been quoted by mainstream financial media many times;
  • Before joining HKEx, he was responsible for promoting NASDAQ's expansion in Asia. Under his leadership, the number of NASDAQ's Chinese listed companies doubled, and China became the market with the largest number of NASDAQ's non-US listed companies;
  • Graduated from the University of California, Berkeley (honors degree), laying the foundation for his international vision and academic foundation;
  • Proficient in Mandarin, strengthening his communication and strategic implementation capabilities in the Chinese and Greater China markets;
  • With his global market development experience and dual insights into the Chinese and US capital markets, Eric Landheer has become a key figure in promoting the internationalization of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and cross-border financing of Asian companies.

Tina Wang

  • Tina is a Vice President at FocalPointPartners and has been involved in numerous large-scale mergers and acquisitions cases, providing clients with modeling, pricing, valuation, and consulting services.
  • Previously, Tina worked at AVISTA Group as an Assistant Manager, participating in various IPO projects in the United States and Hong Kong. These projects include but are not limited to the Hong Kong-listed companies Nongfu Spring (SEHK:9633), SciClone Pharmaceuticals(SEHK:6600), DPC Dash(SEHK:1405), Leapmotor (SEHK:9863), and the U.S.-listed company Connect Biopharma Holdings Limited(CNTB.US).
  • Furthermore, Tina has served several well-known publicly traded companies, offering professional financial reporting and internal reference-related valuation projects. The listed companies she has worked with span across industries such as TMT, consumer retail, real estate, SaaS, including Meituan, Qiyi Technology, Tongcheng Travel. She not only oversees relevant valuation work but has also served as a financial advisor for many private financing and overseas transaction projects.
  • Tina holds a Master's degree in Finance from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Zhejiang University.
